Welcome
Welcome to The JamHouse Forum.

Hi, I'm Tony Avery, founder of The JamHouse. The JamHouse is a free jam club whereby musicians and vocalists actually gather to jam and perform with one another in a friendly, easy going, non competitive, and fun atmosphere. The motto of The JamHouse is: Musicians Honoring Musicians. And it is within this spirit that we meet, play music, and socialize with one another.

The JamHouse Forum is an extension of The JamHouse and is used by The JamHouse members and guests to better know one another. The forum can also help in scheduling jams, rehearsals, gigs, parties, cookouts, and other events within our membership.

The JamHouse provides a place where member musicians and vocalists can come to enjoy socializing with one another and to jam, form bands, rehearse, collaborate, and to have a great time playing the music they love. The JamHouse opened on Dec. 8th, 2007 with 23 members in attendance and has been going strong ever since. While originally our jams were held on private property and open to a limited number of members per jam our member base has grown to the point where we now meet at local venues around Raleigh where our numbers can be better accommodated. Venues such as Fat Daddy's, Reds, Tailgaters, and most recently The Pickled Onion and Bone Daddy's Hideaway.

By joining this free forum and music community, you will be able to read and post topics, you'll be able to communicate privately with other members (PM), respond to polls, upload content, and access many other special features such as email, right from our forum. Registration is fast, simple, and absolutely free, so please, join our music community today!

JamHouse members receive notices and email invitations to jam. When you receive an invitation it is important that you RSVP your intentions to attend, or not, for any particular jam. Another musician can be invited in your place if you cannot be here. Space is limited, even at venues around town, and we wish not to "over invite" and become over crowded. Overcrowding results in less quility playing time for all.

As a forum member you are encouraged to submit a member bio, song list, and any other info that will help members to better know one another. Of course attending our jams is a fast and fun way to meet other members.

Thanks for visiting The JamHouse Forum. Please consider joining our jam club and register. You will then be ready to start attending our jams and other events. Please call on me if I can be of any assistance to you.

Laughing Through Your Fingers was a hit at BoneDaddy's Thursday night, Oct. 22. Midlife Crisis opened up and also was great. Our jam went well too. Read on.

Thanks so much to both bands who played tonight. To Don Moody and Midlife Crisis, who opened up the show, and to Hippie Tim and Laughing Through Your Fingers, who closed out the evening, I really appreciate and love you all. Both bands were fantastic.

We had several great jam sessions during the evening too. Thanks goes to Doyle-bass & vocals, to Robert-acoustic & electric guitar, & vocals, to John-guitar & vocals, to Mark, guitar & vocals. There were several others, 2 playing drums & another guitarist, who I didn't get a chance to get their names. The jam sessions were really cool, thank you all.

JamHouse members Hippie Tim and Laughing Through Your Fingers invites everyone to all their upcoming performances. Personally, I think they will be adding a gig or two at BoneDaddy's to their schedule in the new year. To find out more about LTYF and to see their schedule go to www.myspace.com/laughingthru. Thanks, Tony.

Now for a little band history:

"The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers, and you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter" - Cream/"Tales of Brave Ulysses" *** "Laughing Through Your Fingers" debuted Saturday night, April 25th, at The Front Row. Their show was fantastic, with a huge awesome sound and vocals that just killed. Since their debut LTYF has been playing regularly throughout the area.

In the JamHouse Forum marquee photo you will see, top to bottom & left to right: Jorg-drums, Shannon-bass & vocals, Stephanie-lead vocals, HippieTim-guitar, and Jeff-guitar & vocals. Congratulations "Laughing Through Your Fingers". You knocked 'em dead at BoneDaddy's. I think both Purple and Mark was impressed.
